THE MUSEUM OF RECLAMATION Ca 'Vendramin

Youth Day with the Bishop in the "Day of the Diocesan Youth
The four stand life

a stunning backdrop of the Museum of Reclamation of Ca 'Vendramin was held Saturday, April 17, 2010 Diocesan Youth Day. This was the fifth meeting of the Bishop of the Diocese Adriano with young people in this part of the pastoral year. A meeting of joy, celebration and reflection. The theme was suggested by Pope Benedict XVI to the youth of the whole Church and is contained in the question posed by the young Jesus, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life ? "(Mark 10:17).

The question that this young man of twenty centuries ago to put Jesus there is any question of a happy life that young people bring with them the third millennium. The Board of Youth Ministry has initiated to the time of preparation involving the Vicariate of the Diocese with their youth leaders. Each vicariate was asked to prepare a stand of young people in the reception that introduced the theme of the day and would involve them in a way that the young man's question of the Gospel was also their application. With quite a collegial work, were designed and prepared four stands (stations), to each was assigned a verse of the song of Mark 10 and a distinctive color. Each booth was set up and then animated by young people in different Vicariate.
were well prepared stand blue, assigned to the Vicariate of Chioggia, in which he highlighted the time of application, the application of life "eternal" posed by the young person to Jesus; stand red, animated by the Vicariate of Loreo, with the "control question" of Jesus to the young: what is the road to happiness?; stand purple, assigned to the Vicariate of Ca 'Venier, with the beautiful and challenging proposal of Jesus to the young and young people; and finally stand yellow, animated ; by the Vicariate of Cavan, with the moment of decision: that done before the proposal of Jesus? Living a sad or a happy life?
Young people who have come together in quite a number of Ca 'Vendramin, Saturday, April 17, they were greeted with an invitation to do " experience "of the Gospel story and to become protagonists of their own question:" Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? ".
Walking through the rooms of the Museum of Reclamation, were able to visit the four stands.
blue on the stand was delivered to each a hoard of money (photocopied of course) and asked them to commit their talents to buy, among many proposals (freedom, peace, serenity, work ...), for which it is worth living. Young people were helped to elicit a profound question of life and scrutinize the desire to "eternal life" is inscribed in the expectations and dreams of every young person, although sometimes you may click shortcuts.
red on the stand the young people were involved in the story of people who have chosen to commit their lives and their "goodness" to rediscover the beauty of life to other people. projection images of very touching stories told real people and actual, in love with the goodness of life.
violate other pretty pictures on the stand in an increased pace of music and emotions, to highlight that the proposal is capable of Jesus change for the better life of the listener. They echoed the words of Benedict XVI to the youth: "Jesus did not take anything away and gives everything."
Finally, the yellow stand has been suggested to young people to play their own time, their gifts, their willingness to "slot machine" of life and not settle: who meets Jesus can make all (a very happy life) ... So why settle for the crumbs?
In conclusion, we can truly say that the Diocesan Youth Day has been very articulate and dynamic welcome. Let's just hope it was warm and deep as that reserved by Jesus to the young man who asked him the secret of happiness.
