Bishop meets young

Borgo San Giovanni.
The bishop and the young "In light of the Word," the second act.
was held last Friday (January 22, 2010) at Borgo San Giovanni second Lectio Divina between Bishop Adriano and young people of the diocese. The meeting was attended by about 150 youths, aged between 18 and 30 years. Lectio focused on the figure of the bishop of St. Paul's evangelizing, through excerpts from the Acts of the Apostles. Paul saw a bright light that allowed him to see his new journey, his new mission.
persecutor but not more announcer of the one who discovered the Lord of his life: Jesus Christ. At the end of the reflection of the bishop, the boys were able to examine closely the word, with a moment of Eucharistic adoration. Listen, meditate, pray and contemplate, are the special moments of Lectio Divina.
But, in the traditional lectio, we wanted to add another time, already experienced in the first appointment in Scalon. It is a time of sharing. Young people are divided in groups and allow resonate for others upon receipt of the word, taken down in own existence. In personal conversations with young people and sharing in small groups have emerged expectations of each and dreams for a life played in the right way and intense. Fear is not missing, someone hears a specific call to dedicate himself totally to the Lord, but it is not easy. We take each one to accompany on his journey of discovery because it is able to make major steps, with the prayer of all. "In light of the Word" has thus reached the second act, touching Chioggia. The third meeting is planned in the Vicariate of Cavan, 19 February at 20.45.
